Based in St. Petersburg, Florida - the Devil rays are a fairly new professional baseball team that was established in 1998 and has been part of the American League East division.  Some of the name the team is known as are: the D-Rays and the Rays.  The team representing name "Rays" is said to be a beacon that radiates throughout Tampa and the state of Florida.
